The applicant must be in possession of a valid travel document, like a passport.
The applicant must intend to establish and operate a business in the Netherlands. This can either be a new venture or a company which is already existing.
A minimum investment of € 4,500 is required in the business in order to apply for the Dutch-Japanese Trade Treaty.
The applicant must have sufficient means to support themselves. They should be able to demonstrate that they can earn a sustainable income, which would keep them off of the Dutch welfare programs.
