Americans can visit the Netherlands visa-free for up to 90 days. Within this period, the Unusual Companies team arranges a meeting for you with the Dutch Immigration and Naturalization Service-IND. Initiating this appointment commences your DAFT visa application, enabling you to remain in the Netherlands beyond the initial 90 days, even before your visa is granted.

US Passport:

It is essential to ensure that all copies of your passport include all pages which have stamps on them.

Registration at your municipality in the Netherlands within the first 5 days of arrival, at which point you will receive your BSN number.

The Unusual Companies team makes your first IND appointment. It is essential that during this appointment, you submit your DAFT Visa Application Form. These forms and supporting documentation are required to be submitted in person.

Once all of the registrations from step 4 have been completed, submit all proof of registration to the IND in person or by post in order to obtain your DAFT Visa.

DAFT Application Form:

At the next step, you will register at DigiD, which is an online government system used for the identification especially when using the Dutch Tax system.

Proof of Payment:

You must show proof of payment for the investment amount, which is required for the DAFT Visa.

Company registration at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel).

BSN Number:

You must obtain your BSN number during your first IND appointment. The Unusual Companies team will also guide you through this process.
